The Best Season Of The Year Is Here – Hello Fall!

Here are some tips to make sure you are ready to get the most out of your Fall this year!

Flavors of the Season

Okay, so you know that Pumpkin Spice is EVERYWHERE. It’s not just lattes anymore. You can get drinks from your favorite coffee places but you can also get cereal, muffins, baking mixes, and more at your local grocery stores. Check Target and Walmart for seasonal items so you can start baking, cooking, and enjoying the flavors of the fall season!

Switch the Wardrobes

Are you like me? Do you have a fall / winter wardrobe and a summer / spring wardrobe? When Fall rolls around my favorite thing to do is pack up the shorts and tank tops and get out the sweaters and leggings! It’s time to get those boots out folks! Switch your wardrobes around so you are ready for the fall weather.

Plan Some Parties

All of our biggest holidays of the year are coming up quickly. Fall is a great time to start planning your Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas and New Years celebrations! Starting now means you won’t be overwhelmed and obviously it will help get you in the mood for this fun new season that is upon us.

Decorate

If you aren’t a big fan of Halloween you can still decorate and have fun with a fall theme! There are so many great ways to get prepped for Fall but one of my favorites is to decorate the house and the front porch with holiday items. I like adding pumpkins, fall leaves, wreathes, and hay bales so that every time I walk in or out of the house I get to enjoy these touches of Fall!

Take a Trip

Do you live somewhere that has beautiful Fall foliage views? If not, it’s time to take a trip. Plan a visit to somewhere that has amazing foliage views. It’s a fun way to get away for the weekend and enjoy the beautiful show that Mother Nature is putting on for us in the coming months.

Get Crafty

Fall is a HUGE season for crafting. There are countless projects that can get you in the spirit for Fall. Head into any Michaels or Hobby Lobby store and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Get your decor items ready and then jump into some fun crafting projects. They make great gifts too, so don’t worry, you can never have too many projects going at once!

Do Some Shopping

Just being out and about this time of year makes me excited for Fall. All summer long I avoid doing much shopping because it’s hot and sticky and trying things on is a bummer when it’s so hot. Now it’s time for cozy sweaters, new boots, and Fall themed items. All the stores are decorated and full of fall items. It’s a fun way to get out and do something exciting while being surrounded by the trappings of Fall.

Get Cooking

Did you know that Fall is about more than pumpkin spice lattes? We talked about the great flavors of the season but you have to get into the kitchen and whip up some of your favorite dishes. Invite over some friends and family and get cooking! You can make pumpkins, squash, casseroles, soups, and all the other recipes that we don’t feel like eating when it’s so hot and sticky outside!

It’s Costume Time

For those of you who love Halloween, now is the time to start planning that costume! It’s never too early to get ready for your big night. Start planning now if you have a group or couples costume this year, you’ll have plenty of time to be creative and unique before everyone else swoops in with their mouse and cheese combos!

Clean Up The Yard

Fall is one of those times that I actually enjoy being out in the yard. I can do some landscaping work, clean up the property, and get things looking just how I want them. It’s also a great time to make DIY repairs and changes. We don’t want to sweat through these things during the summer so use this time to enjoy the fall weather and improve the look and feel of your home!
