Philbrook Museum of Art

This large museum always has exhibits that you can get lost in. There are traveling exhibits as well as permanent collections in the museum. In addition to spending the day at this museum, you can also host a wedding or other kind of event here. The place is gorgeous inside and out. Admission is free for anyone 17 and under and if you are older, it is never more than $9.

Gilcrease Museum

The Gilcrease Museum is not just a museum you can visit, there are also events that they plan all year long, especially in the summer. They have a summer art camp for children, and an American Girl doll tea party for girls. The admission for anyone 18 and under is always free and for everyone else, it is never more than $8. Get Outside:

Woodward Park:

Woodward Park is a great place for fun and learning! Walk along the trails and see the beautiful flowers. Plus it is always FREE! Pack a picnic, set up in the grass and enjoy this beautiful park in the heart of Tulsa!

River Parks

This is a park that really has everything you could ever want in a park. It has playgrounds, walking trails, beautiful scenery, and more. It is a well maintained park and there are events all year long. In the summer, there are even fireworks that you can enjoy with your family at the end of a long summer day. If you are looking for a gorgeous place to spend the day this summer, River Parks is a must see.

ONEOK Field

If you like baseball and are interested in seeing some minor league games right in Tulsa, this is the place to go. There are games all summer long and it is a great afternoon activity for the family. They even have fireworks on Fridays after the games. It is located in the historic Greenwood District of downtown Tulsa and the field is the home of the Tulsa Drillers. You can even get tickets for as low as $5.

Tulsa Zoo

Everyone loves the zoo and it is a great place to spend a family fun day. One most days, unless the Tulsa Zoo is closed for an event or a holiday, you can come and spend the day getting to know the animals and learning all about them. There is plenty of shade throughout the park so you can keep cool during a day visit in the summer. In addition to visiting the zoo for traditional reasons, there are also all kinds of special events that are held during the summer. You can easily buy a day ticket online and the price is never more than $10 per person.

Learn Something New:

Tulsa Air and Space Museum

If you have someone who loves airplanes and aviation, then you have to go to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum this summer. The museum is located at the Tulsa International Airport and may not be the largest aviation museum but it is still a great place to go to learn about aviation in the area. Additionally, they have a planetarium that is worth a trip if you have children.
