Break from ordinary routine this weekend with these EXTRAordinary local events! This weekend Tulsa is hosting two awesome events for locals to dive into. “Tokyo in Tulsa” runs all weekend long, and the “Tulsa Dodgebrawl” at the BOK Center is July 14th.

Tokyo In Tulsa
When: All weekend!
Where: The Cox Business Center
What: Oklahoma’s largest anime, Japanese, and pop culture event! There will be events like panels, music, workshops, and more. There are also a lot of great guests and cosplayers coming! You can meet and greet, attend their events and participate in this fun event that is close to home. This is the 10th convention event so there will be extra fun celebrations and entertainment. If you are looking for a way to get REALLY involved you can even contact them about participating as a staffer!

Tulsa Dodgebrawl
When: July 14, 2018
Where: BOK Center, Tulsa
What: An epic dodgeball tournament that you won’t want to miss out on. This is the 7th annual Dodgebrawl tournament at the BOK center. It’s a one day tournament that allows teams to play for any charity / non-profit of their choice. So…it’s fun, competitive, AND it supports tons of great causes. The basic concept is that teams of six battle it out in a double elimination style bracket. Each team gets to play at least three games so even if you don’t win you still get to play and have a great time. There are prizes for all kinds of fun things like best team name, best uniforms, and more. OF course the top three teams also win monetary donations for their charities or non-profits! If you’ve ever wanted to live out your dodgeball dreams, now is the time! The countdown is on. You can learn more about the event, registration, and viewing at the website linked below. Admission to the event is free so you can come and watch teams battle it out if you aren’t participating, it’s a fun way to get out of the house, out of the heat, and into something fun this weekend.
