Thanksgiving is right around the corner so bring on family, friends, football and food. While the kiddos are home for a long weekend, and family comes into town, we’ve come up with some Thanksgiving activities around Tulsa, as well as fun stuff you can try at home. Kid Approved Crafts
No school means the kiddos will be at home. Keep them busy, and into the spirit of the holiday, with some fun craft projects. We have picked out a few crafts for all ages that you can easily put together with the little ones.
1. Gobble, Gobble! Easy turkey puppets.
Crafty Morning has a great tutorial for Paper Bag Turkey Puppets for all ages.
2. Round up the popsicle sticks for a fun scarecrow craft
Somewhat Simple has a cute Scarecrow Craft project to keep your kids busy and having fun.

Thanksgiving Activities Around Tulsa
Get out around Tulsa and have some fun with the whole family. There are events around town during the week of Thanksgiving and the following weekend for the whole family.
Williams Route 66 Marathon
When: November 19-20, 2016 // 8:00AM start
Where: 300 MLK Jr. Blvd.
What: Participate in the 5K, 1-mile fun run, mascot dash, or MarathonHealth and Fitness Expo on November 19th. There is a fun zone at the finish line, as well as local charities present at the event. Fun for all ages!
Turkey Distribution
Date: November 21-23, 2016 // Monday & Tuesday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. | Wednesday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: John 3:16 Mission (2027 MLK Jr. Blvd.)
What: The Turkey Distribution at John 3:16 mission will help families in need in Tulsa. There will be a Thanksgiving Basket Drive through November 19th to collect supplies for family Thanksgiving meals. Volunteer your time, donate food to families in need, or collect for your own family.
Turkey Trot
When: November 25, 2016 // 5K Starts at 8:30AM & 1 Mile starts at 9:30AM
Where: BOK Center (300 S. Denver Ave.)
What: Choose from the 5K, or 1mile fun run and enjoy the Turkey Trot! Both kids and adults are welcome to this turkey themed event in Tulsa!
Winterfest
When: November 25, 2016 – January 15, 2017 // Noon to 10 p.m. Daily | Open until 11 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays
Where: BOK Center (300 S. Denver Ave.)
What: Winterfest has become a Tulsa tradition and it kicks off this year on November 25th. Once you finish your turkey dinner, head down to the BOK center for all ages fun. Enjoy ice skating, horse and carriage rides, bright holiday lights and holiday music.

Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without a table full of delicious food. Make your tummy happy with some new recipes that your family and friends will love.
